Husky Corporation Celebrates their 60th Anniversary! |
|
The Husky Corporation is proud to celebrate its 60th birthday on October 1st 2007. October 1st represents the first product sale to Jim Spiros (at the time an Amoco dealer in St. Louis, MO) by Husky founder Grenville “E.G.” Sutcliffe, in 1947. At that time, E.G.’s wife, Hazel Sutcliffe was manufacturing splash guards and remanufacturing nozzles in her kitchen in Kirkwood, Missouri while E.G. was selling to prospects in and around Missouri and Illinois.
Over the years, under the leadership of E.G. and Hazel’s son, Grenville, Husky has expanded its product offering from a modest handful of products to a full line of hanging hardware. Expansion and growth came from product innovation, generating over 50+ US patents and 25 international patents. Currently, two members of the third generation of Sutcliffe’s are active with the company - one in a sales capacity and the other in a legal / product liability capacity.
Production currently is located in a state of the art manufacturing facility in Pacific, Missouri. Husky remains committed to manufacturing in the United States with 100% of components engineered and produced in the United States.
