Husky Acquires Hewitt
Husky Corporation is proud to announce the asset acquisition of Hewitt from GT Sales and Manufacturing in Wichita, KS. Husky Corporation is a manufacturer of petroleum dispensing and tank level monitoring products. Hewitt, also branded Hewitt USA, is a North American manufacturer of aircraft, curb, and farm refueling hose. An overview of Husky’s products / organization can be found at www.husky.com . Grenville Sutcliffe, President of Husky, stated that, “our existing manufacturing capabilities – machining, fabrication, and assembly – can be leveraged with the purchase. Brad Baker, Executive Vice President, indicated, “The manufacturing operations have been completely relocated and integrated into Husky’s lean manufacturing operations in Pacific, MO. We have been able to decrease lead times, as well as, improve product consistency and quality in just a short time.” The acquisition provides a unique extension into the aircraft refueling industry that will allow us to broaden the Husky footprint.
Husky Corporation solves a variety of fueling, safety, environmental, gauging, monitoring, and performance problems as a manufacturer of fluid dispensing nozzles, swivels, and Safe-T-Breaks® for conventional, vapor, balance, and high-flow applications. In addition, tank gauges and monitors, as well as, crushers are available for the lube industry. Applications include gasoline, diesel, DEF, and CNG dispensing.
