Husky Corporation is an American manufacturing success story with many chapters. Our innovative fuel dispensing products include everything that hangs from fuel pumps – nozzles for all applications, fuel hoses, swivels and breakaway devices. All Husky General Fueling design work, customer service and state-of-the art manufacturing take place at our headquarters in Pacific, Missouri. The Husky product family includes BJE Oil and Lube products, and Hewitt Aviation Fueling products. We also have a strategic partnerships for RS Liquid Loading Arms.
Husky has been developing products that solve problems since 1947, when we created the first nozzle guard to protect petroleum dispensing customers from getting scratches on vehicles during fill-ups. That innovation started Husky and keeps us going, with an ever-expanding list of patents. Husky develops new products (including the first hold-open latch and the first break-away valve) and is constantly looking to enhance existing ones.
The innovation is driven by listening. Husky sales representatives and product engineers are in the field, listening to customers with an ear toward solving their problems. We also stay in regular contact with regulators, to stay ahead of any changes that may affect the industry. Our dedicated product and design engineers then attack these opportunities and deliver results time and again.
Husky Corporation is a leading provider of fuel dispensing products and services. Innovation is at the core. In 1947 Eugene and Hazel Sutcliffe designed the first gasoline nozzle guard, which solved the problem of vehicles getting scratched up during refueling in the post-war years. Mr. Sutcliffe traveled the country with the new product, accompanied by his trustworthy and reliable Husky dog, which became a fitting name and symbol for the new company.
As the company grew, Husky developed the first nozzle hold-open latch for fuel dispensing convenience, the first break-away valve to solve a problem created by the adoption of self-service fueling, and scores of other breakthroughs. Product innovation started Husky Corporation and continues today, with numerous patents awarded within a product line that is 2,000 strong and growing. The Husky family of products is available through a large network of distributors in all 50 states and more than 60 countries around the world.
Husky has no intention of resting on its proven track record. The second and third generations of the Sutcliffe family remain deeply involved in the company, dedicated to continuing growth and innovation for decades to come. In addition to American-made products for the petroleum dispensing industry, Husky offers a broad range of products for the automotive and transportation sectors. The expansion is the result of critical investments in people, technical expertise, manufacturing technology, and strategic acquisitions.
