PACIFIC, MO (April 5, 2018) – The patented Husky Corporation StreamShaper®, which the company invented to straighten the flow of fuel out of the nozzle spout, will now be a standard feature included in its Light Duty Diesel (LDD) nozzles. StreamShaper® is inserted in the spout-end of Husky Corporation nozzles to uniformly direct fuel flow and reduce turbulence, resulting in less splash-back spillage during fueling.
This short video clip explains the features of Husky’s StreamShaper®: StreamShaper® Video
“We believe our customers will immediately see the benefits of StreamShaper® in LDD nozzles,” said Brad Baker, Husky Corporation Executive Vice President. “The fueling experience will be more convenient by avoiding unwanted shut-off episodes. The reduction in splash back will save customers both money and aggravation, while leaving diesel fueling islands much cleaner.”
The pattern of fuel as it leaves the nozzle spout can affect how well nozzles can fill vehicles. If the pattern fans out, fuel may bounce off the vehicle’s fill neck and back to the nozzle itself. If the fuel blows back over the nozzle’s sensing port, the nozzle will shut-off early. Another problem is spilled fuel if it splashes back outside the fill-neck opening.
StreamShaper’s patented design (US 6,676,029 B2) eliminates those problems by providing a tightened and controlled flow of fuel as it leaves the nozzle spout, through the various bends within the vehicle’s fill neck and into the fuel tank.
While StreamShaper® has been an optional feature for Husky LDD nozzles for years, it will now be included in all models except for the Husky XFS farm diesel nozzle. Contact Husky Corporation (Sales or Customer Service) to learn more at 800-325-3558.
